SK-03 · Before you begin

You don't actually doubt the extension.
You doubt the process that gets you there.

01

Will planning committee push back — and will your architect actually fight that battle with you, or just resubmit and hope?

02

Will the finished design be considered and yours, or the same glass box every other extension on the street already has?

03

Will you be one client among fifty, or will the person who did your first sketch still be the one on site months later?

04

Will the budget you agreed at the start survive contact with building regulations and the actual build?

SK-05 · One senior team

Not a firm.
A studio that stays on your project.

Sheldon Peever Studio was set up in 2015 by Christine Peever to deliver well-designed buildings simply by listening properly and following through. The practice built a trusted network of consultants, suppliers and contractors around every project — so the craft behind a home extension is genuinely collaborative, not outsourced to whoever's free.

Designs aren't restricted to one style or palette. What they share is a quality of cosiness that actually improves how you live in the space — decided by the same senior people who were in the room for your first conversation.

Testimonials

“Other architects pass you down the line, but Christine was on site and answering calls from start to finish. Having the same designer on site months later was our biggest reassurance.”

— Kayur, Kings Langley

“They didn't push a signature style. Instead, they took the ideas we'd been describing and turned them into a bespoke reality that feels completely ours, not a copy of our neighbors' extension.”

— Michael & Natalia, Park Street

“When the planning committee raised objections, Christine didn't just back down or refile. She actively defended the design at committee, navigating the process and winning consent.”

— James, St Albans

“The technical specification was so detailed that builders could price it down to the penny. There were no financial surprises or costly mid-build corrections when regulations inspected.”

— Sarah, Harpenden

“They monitored the construction against the plans and resolved contractor questions instantly. Having a trusted studio supervise the builder made the entire project stress-free.”

— David & Eleanor, Radlett
SK-06 · The six stages

A pathway, laid out before you commit to anything.

We survey the property ourselves, or arrange it, before a single line gets drawn — measurements the whole project design is built on.

Several honest routes to the same goal, pros and cons laid out plainly, before we settle on the option that actually fits how you live.

We submit as your agent and stay in the conversation with the council until it's resolved, including any objections raised along the way.

Detailed drawings and specifications your contractor can actually price accurately, covering every technical requirement before tender.

We monitor the build against the drawings, resolve site queries as they come up, and stay involved until every certificate is issued.

Beyond the six core stages, we can advise on interiors, party wall agreements, and planning appeals as they arise.
